Content Manager!

This is my favorite section, I probably said that to some other sections but trust me, this one is really the Heart of this Content Management System.
The first page you see is a File Manager (Page Manager to be very specific), where you can manage your VergePages:

Create A New Page!
|
If you want to add a new page, simply click on "Create New Page" link, a popup window will open, as shown in the next screenshot. Make sure you don't enter any special characters or spaces in Page Name. Page Name is used to refer to that page, also to link to this page from another page. Page Title is what appears on the navigation menu. Hit "Create Page" to, well, create the page. Please make sure you always have a page named, "home". Home is always your first page on Verge. If you delete home your website may not appear to the users.

Page Operations!

You can use following Page Operations:
- Page Details: This will display further information about that page, including Page Hits, Page Creation Date, Last Update Date, Page Keywords and Page Description
- Open This Page: This will open the page in a new window
- Edit This Page: This will open the page in a Page Editor (WYSIWYG editor). Click Here for further details about the Page Editor
- Rename This Page: This will open a popup window that lets you rename this page
- Page Properties: This will open a new page that will allow you to edit properties for this page. Click here for further details about this page.
- Delete this Page: This will open a popup window that lets you delete this page. Please delete on your own risk, a page once deleted cannot be retrieved back. Sorry, no UNDO here.
- Email this Page: This will open a popup window that lets you e-mail this page to a friend. You can send it to anyone, the person doesn't necessarily have to be your friend :P

Page Properties!

This page lets you edit properties this a particular page. Here is description for each field:
- Page Title: You probably figures this out, its the Page Title :)
- Page Keywords: Enter your page keywords here, seperated by commas. Entering keywords will help Verge system to get your page listed in major search engines.
- Page Description: Enter your page description here.
- Page Password: If you want to password protect your page, you can enter your password here, leave blank if you don't want that page protected.
- Include in Site Navigation: If you select NO for this page, it won't appear in Site Navigation. Some pages don't necessarily have to be placed in Navigation, like Internal links, these kinda pages can be linked from other pages.
- Navigation Order: The order in Site Navigation for this page. By default pages appear in the order they were created.
- Navigation Parent: If this page should come under a certain parent page, select its parent here. This is useful for a hierarchical based site navigations. To see an example Click Here
